Hello & Welcome!

Given the challenges of hosting enrichment / student programs this year, our tournaments will look a bit more "intimate" than they have in the past. With a realistic understanding of what we can do to host a quality experience, AND to help use our events as a learning experience, the Regional Tournaments will be hosted as Regional Showcases for the 2022 Tournament Season:

• City of Detroit - TBD @ MI Science Center
• Detroit Metro (COMBINED) - Saturday, March 5 @ Waterford Mott HS
• Lake Huron - Saturday, Feb. 26 @ SVSU Gilbertson Hall
• Lake Michigan - Saturday, Feb. 26 @ Ravenna MS
• South Central - Sunday, March 6 @ Western HS (Parma)
• ​UP North - ​TBD

A Regional Showcase will allow teams to bring their Central Challenge Solution (regardless of how rough-draft or how finished it is) to be presented to a panel of appraisers who will provide sticky-note feedback, ask the team questions about their solution, and offer praise for the areas the team is excelling in. It will also allow teams who are not quite ready for a scored tournament experience to show their presentation, even in they are not quite finished, are still using scripts, are just sharing ideas they plan to accomplish, etc. Instant Challenge will be hosted, and provide both score and feedback / questioning from appraisers!
