 Here is some information we would like you to have:
- The Affiliate Finals Tournament is scheduled for April 4, 2009 in Mt Pleasant, MI. Yes, we are aware that this falls at the beginning of Spring Break for many districts and that this could pose a potential conflict with many participants and their parents. There were two main reasons for selecting this date:
- A large cost savings.
- A possible conflict with “Alumni Weekend” which would make it more difficult to get desired performance areas and hotel rooms.
Every year we face the dilemma of conflicts with other scheduled events. All we can do is make the dates available as soon as possible and hope that most conflicts can be resolved. - This year 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place teams will advance to the Affiliate Finals Tournament in Mt Pleasant. By reducing the number of teams in attendance, we hope to make the day more enjoyable for both teams and appraisers, as well as reduce some of our costs by using fewer competition sites.
- MIchigan Creativity Association is offering projectOUTREACH Program Challenge F: Take Charge! This challenge is only available to Middle, Secondary and College Level Teams. Your 2008-9 Program materials will have further information. All projectOUTREACH Teams will be competing at the Affiliate Finals Tournament on April 4, 2009.
